Soprano Axelle Fanyo presents one of William Bolcom’s Cabaret Songs. “Amor” tells the story of a woman who’s arrested and charged with disturbing the peace because her looks cause such a stir. Fanyo delivers this comedic tale with a lively sense of characterisation that extends even to the nonchalantly exultant scat passages. At the keyboard is BBC New Generation Artist Kunal Lahiry.
