FELIX DAPOZ

Our Musical Moments Series continues with this moving piece entitled Dapoz: Alalt a ci, for which the acclaimed Lied and opera singer André Schuen is accompanied by pianist Daniel Heide. The work is a beautiful and delicate rendition of a folk song from Schuen’s home in South Tyrol, sung in the Ladinian language. It is a melancholic mixture of lullaby and love song, talking about the moon hovering over the children sleeping in their cradle, the peace that has sunk over all people and the voice that resonates in the night.
