Our Musical Moments series continues this week with Baritone Andrè Schuen singing one of Schubert’s most famous songs “An die Musik” (“To Music”), accompanied by his longstanding duo partner, pianist Daniel Heide. Written in 1817, “An die Musik” (“To Music”) sets a poem whose words pay tribute to music’s unique ability to distract us from life’s troubles and transport us to a better world. The duo give a beautiful and heartfelt performance of this deceptively simple piece of music about music.
