Víkingur Ólafsson releases a third own new arrangement of the 2nd movement chorus from Bach’s Cantata BMV 150 ‘Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich’ (I long for you, Lord). The earliest known cantata Bach wrote, it has sparse instrumentation; and Víkingur has taken the liberty to widen the spectrum of pitches on the piano, going very, very low to capture some cathedral-like sounds.
