Víkingur Ólafsson, the acclaimed interpreter of Bach’s works, continues his exploration of the iconic composer’s music and presents a new single from this series, entitled Continuum. It is a piano arrangement of the second movement by the same name of Bach’s moving cantata “Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen” from BWV 12. Ólafsson analyzed both vocal and instrumental scores of the original work in order to transcribe it for piano. The track is the fifth of six such Bach tracks in the series. All tracks will be released digitally as an EP and on vinyl on 18 October.
