This album features Siegfried Wagner’s preludes and overtures. Fairy-tale motifs determined the subjects of the operas of Richard Wagner’s only son, while his symphonic poem “Glück” (Happiness) ambitiously follows in the footsteps of the programme music of his grandfather Franz Liszt. It is performed by the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt under Dimitrij Kitajenko.
This album is one of a third batch of albums from the Koch Schwann catalogue to be released digitally for the first time. For a first impression, the recording of the first movement of “Glück” is now available.
