Rudolf Buchbinder presents a new album of all Brahms Songs in arrangements for solo piano by MaxReger (1873–1916). An admirer of Brahms, Reger also dedicated his first symphony to the composer.Buchbinder comments: “I found it profoundly moving […] to allow myself to be drawn into the undertowof words that have been cast in musical form.” For a second pre-release impression, Buchbinder shares the Brahms song “In Waldeseinsamkeit” (In the loneliness of the wood), based on Karl Lemcke’s poem of a typical nature setting. The tender arrangement for solo piano by Max Reger reflects the work’s romantic atmosphere.
