Few musicians have engaged with Beethoven’s music as intensively and over such a long period as Rudolf Buchbinder. He has performed the complete cycle of 32 piano sonatas countless times all over the world and has continued to refine his interpretations of the works throughout his long career. The recordings on this digital edition were made during the 2014 Salzburg Festival and include the much loved “Moonlight”; “Appassionata”; “Pathétique" and “Waldstein” Sonatas.
