MARIE AWADIS

With Étude No. 2: Breathless the Armenian composer and pianist Marie Awadis shares the first track from her forthcoming debut Deutsche Grammophon album, which will contain 12 original piano études performed by the composer herself, bridging the worlds of classical and neo-classical music. 

The first pre-release single, and touching on the theme of duality, Awadis explains: “This étude is about duality. It represents the constant change of feeling between joy and disappointment, hope and despair, the excitement of experiencing love and the doubt that it will be everlasting.”
