Inspired by classic holiday stories and poems for children such as the The Nutcracker and the Mouse King and A Visit From St Nicholas, the “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” was created by the Tibetan-American artist Tenzin Yougyal. It tells its own story of a boy, dreaming during the night before Christmas and being led on an adventure by a magical fairy.

The tracks in this playlist are performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker conducted by Mstislav Rostropovich. The animation of the Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy starts this playlist followed by visualizations of rest of the tracks from the Ballet Suite.
