The British composer and pianist Max Richter revisits material from his 2015 album SLEEP, paring back sections of his epic 8.5-hour work into new solo piano versions on his upcoming digital EP SLEEP (Piano Edition). Not believing in closed works of art, he now approaches SLEEP from this new perspective, while still containing its familiar spacious and immersive qualities. The EP will be released on World Sleep Day, 15 March.
Listen now to the short piano edit of “Non-Eternal”, where Richter enlarged the colour palette of the piano by adding tape delays.
