As part of the 7th batch of our Original Source Series we release Mozart’s monumental Requiem in D minor, K. 626, conducted by Karl Böhm, one of the best Mozart exegetes of the 20th century. His clear yet devoted view of Mozart, coupled with the class of the Wiener Philharmoniker and a unique quartet of soloists (Edith Mathis, Julia Hamari, Wieslaw Ochman, Karl Ridderbusch), results in an extraordinary interpretation of the Requiem. To improve the audio quality, the work has been redistributed on 2 LPs.
