MISCHA MAISKY IN VERBIER

Mischa Maisky in Verbier, a tribute album honoring iconic cellist Mischa Maisky, is now released on our joint label Verbier Festival Gold. Since its establishment in 1994, Maisky has performed more frequently at the Verbier Festival than any other artist, presenting heartfelt performances there with both friends and family over three decades. With this collection of live recordings from the festival we raise our glasses to his exceptional interpretations of a wide variety of scores by Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Bruch, Grieg, Richard Strauss and Rachmaninov. The performances perfectly showcase his sensitive and soulful approach, reinforced by collaborations with Charles Dutoit, Martha Argerich, daughter Lily, as well as son Sascha.
