JOHANNES BRAHMS

Following on from her recent album For Clara, featuring Brahms’s three Op. 117 Intermezzi and his Op. 32 songs, as well as Schumann’s Kreisleriana, pianist Hélène Grimaud is now sharing her recording of another of Brahms’s Intermezzi: the melancholy Op. 116 No. 2 in A minor.  This is part of a set of 7 Fantasies for solo piano that the composer wrote in 1892.
