Pianist Bruce Liu showcases his extraordinary talent in a recording of J.S. Bach’s French Suite No. 5 in G major, BWV 816. One of a set of six, the suite was written by Bach in the early 1720s, possibly as a wedding present for his second wife, Anna Magdalena. The collection later became known as the “French Suites”, but the name is misleading, given that each work contains movements inspired by dances from various national traditions. Bruce Liu’s interpretation of the delightful Suite No. 5 is available to stream or download.
