All the music in the film was chosen by director, producer and star Bradley Cooper, and the new recordings on the soundtrack were made by the London Symphony Orchestra and Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who also worked as conducting consultant before and throughout the film-making process.

MASTER OF MAHLER
For Leonard Bernstein, a Mahler performance was never a matter of routine. Indeed he frequently turned to Mahler on occasions of special significance, not just for him but for the world at large. Mahler’s symphonies still arouse our emotions like few others, with their unique sense of loss and radiant affirmation. This series delves into Leonard Bernstein’s relationship with the composer with interviews with Bernstein himself and musicians who have worked with him.
