Ildar Abdrazakov, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Orchestre Métropolitain have rejoined forces to record Abdrazakov’s first solo album on Deutsche Grammophon. Giuseppe Verdi has played a major role all through the Russian bass’s career. Abdrazakov has been singing Verdi since his debut in the role of Macbeth in 2001 under the baton of Riccardo Muti. For this album, the singer chose works from the early and middle years of the composer’s output, placing often dark and complex characters centre stage. The album is available on CD and for streaming and download on the platform of your choice.
