Eunike Tanzil (b. 1998) is an Indonesian composer based in Los Angeles. She holds degrees from the Berklee College of Music and The Juilliard School, from both of which she received full scholarships. Her musical aptitude spans various genres, including classical, jazz and world music, while her compositions are notably characterised by lyrical melodic lines and emotive harmonic progressions, crafting narratives that resonate deeply with audiences.
In recent years, Eunike has made significant contributions to the film industry, lending her musical expertise to projects such as The Addams Family 2, I Wanna Dance With Somebody and Abominable and the Invisible City. Her recent achievements include scoring the American romantic comedy Asian Persuasion, which premiered at the prestigious SOHO International Film Festival in 2023.
Eunike’s professional journey has been further enriched by mentorship from industry luminaries such as John Debney, Pinar Toprak, and John Corigliano. This support has undoubtedly played a crucial role in shaping her artistic identity and vision.
Whether writing for film, TV, commercials, dance, theatre or the concert hall, Eunike delights in any project that offers opportunities to collaborate and exchange ideas with similarly passionate artists. She has worked with Ray Chen, TwoSet Violin, Arturo Sandoval and Laufey, among others, revealing a diverse musical portfolio. Her recent production collaboration with Laufey on Only Mine, part of a Bose and Porsche campaign, showcases her versatility as a producer, arranger and orchestrator.
In 2023, Eunike conducted the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in the world premiere of her latest orchestral piece, Celestial Waves. 2023 also saw the release of her first single, Scenes from a Voyage, recorded by the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra at Warner Bros. Eastwood Scoring Stage. Scenes from a Voyage was premiered by the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in March 2024.
Eunike extends her influence beyond the studio, fostering a vibrant community of creatives on social media. Her creativity shines in her iconic “Hum Me A Melody” series, for which she transforms street-hummed motifs into symphonic arrangements. Through educational content and clips of her compositions, she aims to introduce orchestral music to a wider audience and inspire other aspiring composers.
