Christian Thielemann - Richard Wagner: Lohengrin

After Tristan und Isolde (2016), Parsifal (2017) and Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg (2018) this is the fourth installment of the exclusive multi-year partnership between Deutsche Grammophon and the Bayreuth Festival. Wwe are proud to release celebrated production of Wagner’s Lohengrin from 2018, conducted by Christian Thielemann, on DVD, Blu-ray and as a visual streaming album. Premiered on 25 July 2018 at the Bayreuth Festival the production features an illustrious cast including Piotr Beczala and Anja Harteros in their Festival debuts, as well as the acclaimed return of Waltraud Meier to the Bayreuth Festival. Christian Thielemann, Music Director of the Bayreuth Festival, proved his qualities once again as a unique Wagner conductor; the staging was directed by Yuval Sharon with the much anticipated stage and costume designs by painters Neo Rauch and Rosa Loy.
