FALLING TO EARTH Floating Points | Deutsche Grammophon

Composer-producer-musician-DJ Floating Points (Sam Shepherd) presents his new original piece Falling to Earth. Recorded with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra (SFBO), the energetic piece for synths and orchestra is released as a prelude to the release of a full album Mere Mortals later this year. Falling to Earth blends orchestral and electronic sounds to powerful effect, echoing the retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Pandora, which draws parallels between Pandora’s story and the unforeseeable impact of AI on our own society today.
